I have a leaking hard line that goes to my tranny, can i do this for a fix?

It has a tiny cut in it from me not paying attention earlier today, i wanted to cut the pipe where it is already broke and fit some 3/8 goodyear hose over the hard line and then clamp the hose down onto the tranny lines to ensure it stays in place. The
nothing wrong with that. listen, you want oil line and 2 hose clamps per side. ive done 1 hose clamp,and it will slip off.they actually sell a kit, but like i said get 2 clamps. another option is a brass repair coupler and farrels.(i think its track legal,not
