If i were looking to upgrade my car speakers in my 2004 BMW 325i (currently with standard radio)....?

....to a decent set of component speakers, would the existing amplifier be able to power these speakers. What is the power ouput on the factory installed amp?

The stock amp is 200 watts; the Harmon Kardon is 300, plus there is another amp for the subs. The stock amp is rated for a 2 ohm load and has 2 ohm speakers. So if you hook up 4 ohm speakers to it, cut the stock amps power rating in half.
