I have been using a cartridge filter for two years on my 24' round pool. The replacement filters are kind of $ so I have decided to change over to the sand filter. Someone I know told me he had trouble with his putting small amounts of sand in his pool
The sand most likely came from an outside source. Been running a sand filter in my pool for 5 years, and haven't noticed any sand from my filter. Kid's feet, oh yes. :)
