What is the proper spark plug gap for a 1983 Ford Mustang?

I have a 1983 Ford Mustang, it has a 5.0 liter V8 with air conditioning, power steering, and a 4 speed manual transmission. I don't have much documentation on the car, I haven't been able to find any information on it thus far, all I have is the owners

Motorcraft's website lists the proper gap at .044 - if you go onto their site and use the "Part Look Up" function it will give you the part numbers as well.
